The Prime Minister's Internship Scheme 2025 has reopened for applications, marking the start of Round 2 of the pilot phase. This initiative, which was introduced in the Budget 2024-25, aims to offer one crore internships in top companies over the next five years.
The scheme, facilitated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), is available across various industries such as Automobile, Travel & Hospitality, Banking & Finance, IT, HR, Sales & Marketing, and more. In fact, the PM Internship Scheme 2025 offers over 1.18 lakh internships across multiple sectors and regions.
To apply, candidates must be between 21 and 24 years old (with relaxation for OBC/SC/ST candidates). Additionally, the annual family income of the candidate must be below ₹8 lakh. Candidates must have completed 10th, 12th, or a graduation degree, and ITI, diploma, and degree holders from UGC/AICTE-recognized institutions are eligible for the scheme. However, candidates with professional degrees such as B.Tech, MBA, CA, etc., are not eligible.
The application deadline for the PM Internship Scheme 2025 Phase 2 is April 22, 2025. The application link can be found on the official portal: pminternship.mca.gov.in.
During the application process, candidates need to provide personal information, educational qualifications, and preferred internship choices. Applicants are required to attach necessary documents with their application. Candidates must verify their mobile number during the registration process by entering a valid phone number and authenticating it using the OTP sent to their device.
Candidates can apply for up to 3 internships anywhere in India under the PM Internship Scheme 2025 Phase 2. To register, candidates need to have a government-issued ID, educational documents, a recent passport-sized photograph, a resume/CV, and proof of age. Upon successful submission of the application, a confirmation page will be generated for future reference.
