Dr. Meryl Epstein, a renowned expert in design education and academic leadership, joined our Education team in February 2019. Her extensive experience in design, education, and academic leadership has been instrumental in advancing our institution's design curricula and fostering inclusive, innovative learning environments.
Highlights from Dr. Epstein's career include implementing and leading the graphic design of three different museums (Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Arizona Science Center, and Arizona Historical Museum). Prior to joining our institution, she served in various roles, including Dean of Academic Affairs, Program Chair, Doctoral Development Faculty, Art Director, Graphic Design Manager, Higher Education Faculty member (online and on-ground), Change Agent, and Exhibiting Artist/Photographer at various institutions.
At our institution, Dr. Epstein has been involved in the ongoing training, support, and development of our faculty of artists, designers, and educators. She has also played a vital role in our institution's 2020 renewal of accreditation. Moreover, she has contributed to the outcomes assessment process and has been instrumental in the development of our Advisory Board.
