Landshut District Introduces New Student Travel Cards for 2025/2026 School Year

The Landshut district is set to discover new student travel cards in collaboration with the Munich Transport Association (MVV) for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year. These plastic chip cards will be sent directly to the registered home addresses of students in the district, and no distribution will take place through schools.

From the start of the school year until the end of the year, December 31, 2025, students will typically receive a Germany ticket with these cards. From January 1, 2026, the switch to a 365-Euro ticket will occur automatically if the necessary conditions are met. Further information about this transition will be provided in due course.

If a student loses their card, they should report it to the student transportation department of the Landshut district. The lost card will be blocked upon reporting, and a new card will be issued after approximately 14 days. There will be a fee of 15.00 Euros for a replacement student travel card.

Franziska Dirnberger is responsible for student transportation in the district of Landshut and can be contacted for any inquiries or questions at Email: [email protected], Telephone: 0871 408-2214, -2208.

It is important to note that these student travel cards are only available in the Landshut district for the 2025/2026 school year. Further details about the expansion of this service to other areas will be announced in due course.
