Astana Opens 21 Inclusive Support Rooms for 1,054 Children with Special Needs
Astana has expanded its support for children with special educational needs. The city now boasts 21 inclusive support rooms, benefiting 1,054 youngsters. These new facilities opened in schools No23, 29, and 60, offering a comfortable and accessible learning environment.
The inclusive support rooms combine traditional teaching methods with corrective lessons. They provide a range of services, including speech therapy, defectology, psychology, pottery, and therapeutic physical education. The UNICEF backs this project, which aims to create suitable learning spaces for children with special needs.
The Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation supports the development and implementation of this concept. Moreover, the rooms are adapting to early professional specializations based on each child's abilities.
