Audiotrain Relaunched: Free Podcast & Audio Industry Training Kicks Off

AudioUK, in collaboration with the BBC, has relaunched Audacity, a comprehensive skills and training platform for the podcast and audio industry. The initiative, described as a 'game-changer' by AudioUK's CEO Chloe Straw, aims to support talent at every stage of their journey, addressing competency gaps across the UK.

Audacity kicked off on September 25, 2025, with a series of 19 webinars covering various aspects of the podcast and audio industry. The platform offers on-demand educational content at no cost to participants, combining online and in-person instruction over a three-year period. Industry professionals lead each session, providing practical tools and techniques applicable to both individual content production and enterprise-scale operations. The curriculum is structured around three core competency areas: Creative, Business, and Technical skills. The BBC's funding has enabled this extensive training programme to address identified skills gaps across the UK's podcast and audio production sector. Despite the search results not revealing the name of the session leader on narrative structure, the platform's relaunch has been welcomed by Dawn Beresford, Director of Talent & Skills at the BBC, who expressed delight in the collaboration with AudioUK.

Audacity's relaunch marks the beginning of a three-year programme that promises to enhance training availability within the podcast and audio sector. With its comprehensive curriculum and industry-leading instruction, the platform aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving podcast and audio landscape.
