Bankers (male, female, diverse) Training Schedule for 2026
Munich's City Bank, part of the S-Finanzgruppe and one of the four largest Sparkassen in Germany, has announced a financial apprenticeship (Ausbildung zum Bankkaufmann / zur Bankkauffrau) starting on September 1, 2026. Interested applicants can find the application process on the Groupe BNP Paribas careers page.
The apprenticeship will provide a comprehensive learning experience, with theoretical knowledge built at the Munich Riem vocational school for finance, real estate, and automotive economics. Practical training will be primarily in the Media Sales Division in Munich Schwabing or at Harras.
Apprentices will learn to apply the Sparkassen financial concept to advise customers competently. They will gain insights into corporate banking, mortgage lending, securities trading, and other exciting areas.
To support private customers, apprentices will learn to provide advice in video, online, and telephone consultations. They will be provided with an iPad Pro for both work and personal use, and a monthly public transport allowance of €20 will be provided to cover travel expenses.
In addition to the monthly housing allowance of €200 for eligible Sparkassen apartments, apprentices will also receive an annual learning materials allowance of €50.
After the apprenticeship, successful candidates may be offered unlimited full-time employment. The company offers attractive career opportunities, flexible working hours, and mobile work.
The bank's customer satisfaction is a top priority. It offers personal advice, the densest branch network, and multiple award-winning online banking. The new Barer41 branch is a place for young employees to advise students.
Modern workspaces for customer advice are located in Schwabing. Munich's city bank is the market leader in banking, with over 2,000 employees. It is one of the four large Sparkassen in Germany, part of the S-Finanzgruppe, the largest banking group in Germany.
