Bavaria's 'MuT-Partner' Project Boosts Senior Digital Literacy in Q4 2025
In the fourth quarter of 2025, a unique model project in Bavaria aims to boost digital literacy among its senior population. 'MuT-Partner - Strengthening digital competence for older people' will offer low-threshold training sessions in the form of Q&A sessions in various municipalities. These sessions, offered free of charge, will focus on the use of tablets and smartphones for seniors who grew up without media.
The Q&A sessions will be held in larger shopping centers within the municipalities, provided by the 'Support in difficult life situations - Care support point Plus'. Participants can learn about the use and operation of these devices, and ask questions about their software. The sessions are designed to be accessible and non-intimidating, catering to those who may feel daunted by technology.
The project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Work and Social Affairs, ensuring that these valuable learning opportunities are available at no cost to seniors.
With the 'MuT-Partner' project, Bavaria is taking a significant step towards bridging the digital divide among its older population. By offering these free, accessible Q&A sessions, the project aims to empower seniors to confidently use tablets and smartphones, enhancing their connectivity and independence in the digital age.
