BIBB Introduces New IT Clerk/Digital Business Manager Apprenticeship
The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) has announced an apprenticeship for IT clerks/business managers in digitalization, starting at around 40,300 euros gross per year. This role is in high demand across various industries, including retail, banking, and craft businesses.
Apprentices will gain a combination of theoretical knowledge at vocational school and practical experience in the workplace over three years. Key requirements include a strong understanding of numbers, organizational skills, excellent communication, an interest in technology, and some understanding of pedagogy. Most companies expect a secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school certificate.
The role involves managing IT infrastructure, evaluating the costs of IT applications, and supporting the implementation of new technologies. Professionals with this apprenticeship can find work in almost any industry. Since 2020, the apprenticeship has been increasingly referred to as business management professionals for digitalization to better reflect the evolving requirements of digitalization.
