Board of international advisors concludes educational programs in political studies
In the heart of Germany, the city of Pforzheim recently concluded a series of political and cultural workshops aimed at empowering migrants to participate actively in the city's political and cultural life.
Organised by the International Advisory Board of the city, in collaboration with LAKA (Landesverband der kommunalen Migrantenvertretungen Baden-Württemberg), these workshops were designed to equip both people with and without a migration background with the necessary knowledge to contribute to the city's processes.
The series, which consisted of five workshops and accompanying programs, culminated in a certificate presentation following the fifth and final module. The final workshop, titled "Migration and Politics," was held at Kulturhaus Osterfeld.
The last workshop, lasting for three hours, was considered insufficient due to the high interest shown by the participants. Emine Akyüz from the International Advisory Board's office stated that the participants were very interested in the workshop.
The workshops focused on political education, aiming to teach political skills and knowledge. They were inclusive, targeting both people with and without a migration background, and were part of a broader initiative to foster inclusivity and community engagement in Pforzheim.
