Marcelo Claure, a Partner and Co-chair at Brightstar, is expected to serve as Board Chair once the transaction is finalized. This move underscores the importance of digital transformation in the university's growth strategy.

Arden University currently serves over 40,000 students in the UK and internationally, specializing in non-traditional, adult learners. Since GUS acquired Arden in 2016, the university has experienced significant expansion, growing from approximately 6,500 students to over 40,000.
Aaron Etingen, Executive Chairman and CEO of Global University Systems (GUS), expressed belief in Brightstar's operational expertise and strategic mindset, particularly their focus on AI to improve the student experience and operations.
The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
This collaboration builds on Arden’s rapid growth since GUS acquired it in 2016, aiming to deepen Arden's position as a leading provider for adult and non-traditional learners balancing education with other responsibilities. Arden University was recently ranked among the top 5 UK universities for student satisfaction in a national survey by the Office for Students.
