CiTTi Awards 2024 Finalists: Pioneering Sustainable Urban Transport
The CiTTi Awards 2024 is set to recognise outstanding achievements in sustainable urban transport. The ceremony, hosted by Andrew Ryan, will profile finalists for The Transport Inclusivity and Accessibility Award at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London on November 26, attended by 200 transport professionals.
Among the finalists is the City of London Corporation's 'All Change at Bank' project, which transformed Bank Junction into a more pedestrian-friendly space, reducing vehicular traffic. Medway Council & Project Centre's Safer, Healthier Streets Programme also made the list, focusing on road safety, congestion reduction, and sustainable transport promotion.
WSP's data-driven approach to road safety, aiming for Vision Zero, has earned them a spot as a finalist. Mobilityways, in collaboration with Prologis, Zeelo, and Stagecoach, introduced sustainable transport options at Prologis' DIRFT site, reducing single-occupancy commutes and CO2 emissions. Zeelo, offering software and services for commuter shuttle bus efficiency, was recognised for its work.
The award celebrates initiatives that advance sustainable urban transport through innovative practices, research, or methodologies. The winner, however, remains unannounced.
