Deadline Approaching for CTCN Secondment Programme: 29th May Looms
The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) has announced that it is accepting applications for its Secondment Programme, with interviews scheduled for mid-June. This programme offers professionals from institutions in developing countries or partner institutions within the climate technology field the opportunity to enhance their capacity building and knowledge exchange, contributing to climate technology development and deployment.
To be eligible for the programme, candidates must be nationals of developing countries, have relevant expertise or experience in climate technology, environmental sciences, engineering, or related fields, and typically work with government agencies, research institutions, or organisations engaged in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The application process involves submitting an application form, often through the CTCN or UNFCCC official platform or via designated national focal points. Supporting documents such as a CV, motivation letter, and letters of recommendation are also required. Candidates may be shortlisted based on qualifications and alignment with the CTCN’s strategic priorities.
Selected secondees will work temporarily at the CTCN host institution or a partner organisation to gain experience and contribute their expertise. For the most accurate and up-to-date details on eligibility and application procedures, it is best to consult the official CTCN website or contact their administrative office directly.
Applications for the CTCN Secondment Programme must be submitted by Sunday, 29 May 2016, Midnight, Central European Summer Time (CEST). Candidates will be notified in early June whether or not they have been selected for a 30-minute Skype or telephone interview. Successful candidates will receive an acceptance letter with a proposed starting date and duration, and guidance in preparation for their travel and stay in Copenhagen.
By the end of June, a maximum of two candidates will receive an acceptance letter with an invitation to participate in the programme. UNIDO will provide a service provider agreement for signature once the starting date and duration are confirmed in writing. It is important to note that only applications submitted by the CTCN contact person of an organisation will be considered eligible.
For those interested in applying, it is recommended to gather all necessary documents, including a completed and signed Personal History Form, a motivation letter (1 page), a copy of the applicant's passport, and submit them via email to [email protected] by the deadline. Good luck to all applicants!
