Discussion Platform: "Crafting an Inclusive and Accessible Experience in Cultural Establishments via Project Initiatives"

The head of the FGBU 'Kronotsky State Reserve', Sergey Ustinov, was present at a recent forum titled 'Creating an Accessible and Inclusive Environment in Cultural Institutions through Project Work'. The Association of Inclusive Art Practitioners and the Kamchatka Puppet Theater organized the event, which took place in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from March 21 to March 23, 2023. The Ministry of Culture of Kamchatka Krai provided support for the forum.
Anna Kostrova, a methodologist at the Kronotsky State Reserve, participated in the forum and emphasized the importance of finding an approach tailored to each individual, regardless of their health status. She stressed that each person with a disability requires a special approach, and that understanding, empathy, and effective communication tools are crucial for facilitating their participation in cultural and environmental education activities.
During the 'Preserve Friend' social campaign, the Kronotsky Reserve brings festive cheer to people with disabilities. As part of this initiative, field trips are organized, which include tours at the Nature Museum of the Kronotsky Reserve and the new interactive visitor center. These field trips aim to promote inclusion and equal access to cultural and environmental education opportunities.

She stated that the Kronotsky Reserve annually holds field trips for people with disabilities, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to this important cause.
