In the heart of the Nevyansk municipal district, the Cementny settlement school has taken a significant step towards nurturing future engineers and technicians. The school is set to launch a specialized engineering class for the upcoming academic year, aiming to provide students with a solid foundation in engineering skills, creativity, teamwork, and project-based activities.

The initiative is a result of the school's partnership with local enterprises, particularly the Nevyansk Cement Plant. This collaboration will offer graduates of the engineering class potential employment opportunities upon completion of their studies.

The engineering class, initially set to accommodate 14 high school students, may expand if demand warrants. The curriculum will be heavily focused on information and technology subjects, with an in-depth study of mathematics and computer science, including programming and project development.

To ensure the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date, two labour teachers have been sent for training courses in the Moscow region. This professional development will enable them to equip students with the latest industry knowledge and techniques.

In addition to the engineering class, three pre-professional classes have already started operating in the Nevyansk municipal district. These include a psycho-pedagogical class, a medical class, and a defense-sports class.

The school's commitment to fostering a well-rounded education is evident in the 'Growth Point', a newly opened facility housing a computer lab, chemistry, biology, and labour technology labs. This initiative has been made possible through financial assistance from local enterprises, which has also enabled the school to open a career guidance room and renovate the chemistry lab.

Students as young as third-graders are already engaged in the 'Growth Point', conducting experiments and mini-research with great enthusiasm. The school has also implemented additional study programs for chemistry, such as "Interesting Science - Chemistry" and "Chemistry in My Future Profession".

The school's star chemistry teacher recently made headlines as a finalist on the popular TV show "Class Act!". This achievement further solidifies the school's reputation as a hub for academic excellence and innovation.

Preparations are also underway for a "Children's Factory" complex, which will provide students with hands-on experience in working with various machines, blueprints, 3D modeling, prototyping, and more. This comprehensive learning environment is designed to prepare students for future technical careers within the region.

The integration of engineering education in the Nevyansk school system is a testament to the school's commitment to fostering a skilled workforce that meets the needs of local industries. This collaborative approach between schools and enterprises promises a bright future for both students and the local economy.
