EU Innovation Summit 2017 Concludes With Top Startup Showcase
The European Innovation Summit 2017 concluded with a reception that showcased Strathclyde University's 'Images of Research' gallery. The event, part of the summit's closing ceremony, was hosted by MEP Lambert van Nistelrooij and represented Scotland by MEP Alyn Smith.
The reception marked the end of the EU Top 50 Millennial Startup Competition, introduced at the summit in 2017. Organized by StartUp Europe, a program of the European Commission, the competition highlighted the top 50 startups. Our website produced a special edition featuring these startups and an interview with Bertrand Piccard, the initiator of the competition.
In 2017, our website also co-hosted a St. Andrew's Day reception in the European Parliament, further demonstrating its commitment to European innovation and collaboration.
The European Innovation Summit 2017 concluded with a reception that celebrated both research and entrepreneurship. Strathclyde University's gallery and the EU Top 50 Millennial Startup Competition showcased the best in both fields, with our website playing a significant role in highlighting these achievements.
