Gütersloh, a Fairtrade town, is set to participate in the nationwide Fair Week from 12 to 26 September 2025. This annual campaign for fair trade, Germany's largest, will see around 2,000 actions taking place nationwide.

In Gütersloh, the program highlights the global significance of fair trade as well as local activities. The Fair Week is organized by the Forum Fair Trade in cooperation with the World Shop umbrella organization and Fairtrade Germany.

A special fair chocolate has been developed for Gütersloh's anniversary, signifying sustainable enjoyment. For the first time during the Fair Week, a Fairtrade flag will be flying on the town hall square.

Visitors can expect a colorful program with children's activities, tasting stands, and more at the world shop anniversary. On 13 September, the world shop in Gütersloh celebrates its 30th anniversary. The day will be filled with celebrations and activities, making it a must-visit for fair trade enthusiasts.

On 22 September, Berliner Platz will be the hub of action. Visitors can have their ecological footprint calculated, learn about climate-friendly tips, and participate in DIY activities. Interested parties are invited to have a cup of fair coffee and learn about engagement opportunities on 20 September.

The steering group for fair trade presents itself at the Citizens' Day on 20 September. A lecture on the history and future of fair trade is held in the world shop on 23 September. Participants can organize their own fair trade actions, exchange with representatives of producer organizations worldwide, or participate in existing events.
