Future-focused education in Karlsruhe: Exploring forthcoming job sectors (10.07.)

The Baden-Württemberg Foundation's COACHING4FUTURE program is set to host an event at Sophie-Scholl-Realschule in Karlsruhe on July 10th, 2025. The event, which will run from 8:35 AM to 3:00 PM, aims to inspire young people and help them explore their personal and professional potential.

The COACHING4FUTURE program focuses on coaching young people to develop their skills, identify their strengths, and discover future career opportunities. The event will feature workshops, mentoring, and presentations, all aimed at motivation, self-discovery, and future planning.

One of the highlights of the day will be a robotics workshop, running from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. This workshop will provide young people with insights into information technology professions and robotics in everyday life and the workplace. The Girls'Day Academy at the Sophie-Scholl-Realschule will host the workshop, where participants can solve given tasks using cube modules with various functions.

The presentation during the morning session will cover practical examples from socially relevant areas such as housing, mobility, medicine, or environmental protection. Chemist Cornelia Mattern and physicist Julian Roessler will lead an interactive presentation on MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology) professions for school classes in the Karlsruhe district of Oberreut.

The event will also include experiments, AHA moments, and technical exhibits for students to try out. The topics covered will be decided by the school classes at the beginning. Two coaches will provide an interactive presentation with illustrative examples and technology to try out.

Registrations are recommended for the editorial visit to the COACHING4FUTURE event. Interested parties are advised to register at least two days in advance with the press contact. For those unable to attend, a report can be submitted afterwards.

The COACHING4FUTURE Program offers insights into the working world of MINT disciplines and provides a career navigator test on its online portal (www.coaching4future.de) to reveal which MINT studies and training occupations best match personal strengths and inclinations. The program also features a network of companies presenting their training and dual study offers in the MINT field on the online portal.

The Baden-Württemberg Foundation, SÜDWESTMETALL employers' association, and the Regional Directorate Baden-Württemberg of the Federal Employment Agency are committed to the COACHING4FUTURE Program to awaken young people's interest in working in technical professions.
