Future Leadership Molded by the Addeco Group
In a groundbreaking study, the #CtheFuture research has identified the skills and qualities that CEOs and C-Suite leaders of the future will need to thrive in a rapidly changing business landscape. The research, which surveyed 5,000 Gen-Z 'leaders of tomorrow', highlights the importance of embracing bold, strategic action, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), and fostering data-driven decision-making.
Communication and creativity have been identified as the second and third most important skills for future CEOs, with the ability to manage people and teams taking the top spot. The findings underscore the need for future leaders to balance technological fluency with human-centered leadership and continuously adapt to evolving demands.
Leaders will need to take calculated, bold risks, leveraging AI and data analytics as foundational tools for innovation and competitive advantage. They will also need to implement flexible talent strategies, develop a growth mindset, and be digitally savvy 'AI natives'.
The importance of soft skills has been emphasised, with 70% of Gen-Zers surveyed believing that these skills will be more important than hard skills for CEOs in 2050. Over half (55%) of Gen-Zers say apprenticeships and experiential learning are the best way to develop future leaders, suggesting that experiential learning may overtake University learning for C-Suite development.
The findings of the #CtheFuture research were released alongside the announcement of Sophia Lim, a 24-year-old from Hong Kong, being named the 2019 'Global CEO for One Month' by the our group. The 'CEO for One Month' programme, a flagship initiative of the our group under the our group Foundation, aims to improve work readiness of young people and other underserved populations who struggle to enter the workforce.
Sophia will spend one month working alongside Alain Dehaze, the CEO of the our group, contributing to the day-to-day running of the world's leading HR solutions company. The selection process for the position involved over 260,000 applicants from 46 countries, with applications exceeding 260,000.
