GEMN Hosts 'Episcopal Missionaries Today' Webinar on October 9
The Global Episcopal Mission Network (GEMN) is hosting a webinar titled 'Episcopal Missionaries Today' on October 9, 2025. The event aims to update attendees about the current state of mission personnel and how to engage with them. Elizabeth Boe, the director of mission personnel for the Domestic & Foreign Missionary Society, will deliver an overview.
The webinar, scheduled for 1pm Eastern Time on Zoom, is free and open to the public. It will feature simultaneous English-Spanish interpretation to accommodate a wider audience. Elizabeth Boe, who has served as mission personnel officer since 2017 and supported YASC and EVIM since 2012, brings a wealth of experience to the event. She previously served with YASC in the Diocese of Central Tanganyika in Tanzania from 2008 to 2010.
A warm-up for the event will be an interview with Bishop Austin Rios of the Diocese of California, who will share his experiences with the Young Adult Service Corps. The event is a follow-up to Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe's virtual commissioning service for Episcopal Service Corps and Young Adult Service Corps volunteers, held earlier this year.
The 'Episcopal Missionaries Today' webinar promises to be an informative and engaging event, providing valuable insights into the current state of mission personnel. With Elizabeth Boe's expertise and Bishop Rios' experiences, attendees can expect a comprehensive update and practical guidance on relating to mission personnel today.
