Hop on board as we take a closer look at the jaw-dropping recipients of the 2025 Brad Sousa Impact Fund! This life-changing grant, named after the late Brad Sousa, honors his enduring legacy in the audiovisual technology industry. So, let's dive in and see who's making waves!

Rosie Riveters

Leading the charge is Rosie Riveters, a non-profit organization that puts females' critical thinking and problem-solving skills to the test through engaging STEM activities. This amazing group has found a niche in using music to explore careers in Pro AV, and they're about to expand their reach with the grant they've received. Sarah Joyce, AVIXA's chief global officer and foundation executive director, couldn't be more thrilled about it. "Rosie Riveters' program success using music to discover careers in Pro AV has been truly inspiring," said Joyce, "and we're excited to see them scale their impact even further."

Tech25

Next up is Tech25, a non-profit on a mission to fill the ever-growing demand for skilled AV broadcast and event technicians. They're stepping up to the plate, offering young people and adults the technical skills, certifications prep, and hands-on experience they need to snag the living-wage careers Pro AV has to offer. Sarah Joyce is particularly enthused about Tech25's impact, stating, "Tech25 transforms lives and creates career pathways for those who might not have even been aware of this dynamic industry. It's incredible to see them churn out graduates and help so many people secure industry roles so quickly."

WorkSource Montgomery (WSM)

Rounding out the winners is WorkSource Montgomery (WSM), a powerhouse in workforce development. Their focus is ensuring that all residents in their region have access to career pathways leading to equitable and sustainable economic mobility, with a specific emphasis on high-demand fields like AV and IT. With the grant they've received, WSM intends to start a dedicated AV- and technology-focused LYFE cohort for young adults who are eager to dive into career exploration, hands-on work experience, and pathways to internships and full-time employment.

Now, the roadshow doesn't stop here! The AVIXA Foundation has further plans to ramp up fundraising efforts for the following year, enabling even more organizations to join the party.
