Initiative unveiled by the European Commission to boost online activity within the European Union.
On Tuesday, 3rd September, 2025, a job tour was organised for students in the 8th and 9th grades in the Landshut district. The tour, organised by Angela Schedlbauer from the Economic Development of the Landshut district, took place during the first week of the students' summer holidays.
The tour began with a visit to Feistl Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology GmbH & Co. KG, where the students learned about the history of the company. The day continued with a visit to Ergomar in Ergolding, where the students gained insights into bathtub and sauna technology.
At Ergomar, the students participated in a practical exercise where they practiced rescuing a person. The program at Ergomar included a tour of all departments, including building services, reception, administration, and catering.
The students then moved on to Schott AG in Landshut, where they focused on glass. The manufacturing of a housing for the LED cube at Schott AG involved 3D printing and milling a stainless steel plate, drilling, tapping, and stamping. The students also learned about the process of coating metallic workpieces through galvanic gold plating at Schott AG. The training teams at Schott AG demonstrated several stations, including assembling and soldering an LED cube.
One of the highlights of the tour was the visit to SPIE SAG in Ergolding, where the students gained insights into electrical installations and soldering processes. The job tour concluded with a "Parts Assembly" workshop.
In total, six girls and four boys participated in the job tour. The students tested various materials, tools, and techniques during the tour. Although the search results do not provide the names of the teachers or vocational trainers involved in the "Job Tours" stations in Landshut, their efforts in organising and conducting the tour were greatly appreciated.
The tour also included a construction site visit, providing the students with a comprehensive understanding of various industries in the Landshut district. The job tour aimed to give students a taste of potential jobs near me and inspire them to consider vocational training and education in these fields.
