Freakin' Kindergartners Know Robotics: Avtozavodsky District Wins Big

Gather 'round, folks! The Students from Kindergarten No. 79 in Nizhny Novgorod have managed to outshine their counterparts at the International Robotics Championship SAKHALIN 6.0, snagging the top spot in the 4-6 year-old category.

The competition unfolded at Pushisty Airport in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, drawing young engineers from across Russia, as well as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and China.

The Avtozavodsky District's young rookies managed to stand toe-to-toe with the competition, acing the team task and presenting a project dedicated to crop harvesting, transportation, and storage.

Their impressive feat was made possible by their victory in the regional qualifying round of the STEAM competition LIGA in February. Five local kindergartens, including No. 34, 79, 114, 122, and 137, showcased their projects on crop preservation.

Marina Smirnova, head of the Avtozavodsky District's Preschool Education Department, hailed the victory as a milestone in nurturing children's engineering creativity. She acknowledged the team's victory as the culmination of incredible effort, stating, "And here it is - a remarkable result. Bravo to the kids, parents, and teachers!"

Apart from the TechnoDete team's triumph, other local teams from Avtozavodsky District also made their mark. The UM-nashki team from Kindergarten No. 114 (Ekaterina Kulikova, Ivan Pavlov, coach Natalia Tokareva) took home the prize in the "Exploring the Theme of Seasons" nomination. Meanwhile, the Kvantik team from Kindergarten No. 122 (Anya Chistyakova, Alyisia Shcherbakov, mentor Angelica Panayagina) successfully completed the additional task.

These young prodigies are proving that age is but a number when it comes to learning and excelling in challenging fields such as robotics. It's only a matter of time before they take over the world!

  1. With their victory at the International Robotics Championship, it's clear that education-and-self-development in technology is thriving in the Avtozavodsky District, even amongst the youngest of students in kindergarten.
  2. Moreover, the achievement in robotics serves as a reminder that sports aren't the only arenas where children can excel – the spirit of competition and the will to win are evident in these budding engineers, setting examples for future generations in the world of technology.
Youngsters from Kindergarten No79's 'Techno-detki' team, hailing from Nizhny Novgorod, clinched victory at the international robotics competition 'Sakhalin 6.0', securing the top spot in the youngest pre-school age bracket (4-6 years), according to the city administration's information policy department.
