Irish Tech Challenge South Africa 2024 Now Open for Startups
The Irish Tech Challenge Africa 2024 is now open for applications. Organised by the University of Wits in Africa and Dogpatch Labs in Ireland, the initiative encourages African startups to apply, with a deadline of April 26.
The challenge seeks startups focused on clean and green technology, healthcare, education, and water sanitation and hygiene. It is supported by the Department of Science and Innovation, the Technology Innovation Agency, and the Embassy of Ireland in Africa. Selected startups will receive a EUR10,000 (US$11,000) grant each and a 10-day trip to Ireland for networking and business acceleration.
The initiative aims to foster collaborations between Irish and African startups, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It is organised in collaboration with Wits University's Tshimologong Digital Precinct and Dogpatch Labs. Further details and applications can be found on the initiative's website.
