Jewish Autonomous Region Showcases Social, Economic Progress at National Center 'Russia'
The Jewish Autonomous Region (JAR) recently held a presentation at the National Center 'Russia', showcasing its social and economic development projects. Governor Maria Kostyuk highlighted the region's progress, emphasizing President's support and plans to improve lives, particularly in the social sphere.
Key projects include the complete repair of all 12 departments in the regional hospital by 2026, with a new children's hospital building supported by the Ministry of Health of Russia. Education infrastructure is also a priority: by 2028, no schools in the JAR will be in a dilapidated state. Capital repairs have already been completed in nine schools and one kindergarten, with plans to repair eight more facilities and document another 15 by 2028.
The JAR is also supporting participants in the SVO and their families with 36 different measures, including free children's holidays and one-time payments to students. Infrastructure development is another focus, with the large investor 'Bantonnelmost' actively creating infrastructure around the cross-border railway bridge into China, expecting to invest over 100 billion rubles by 2030. In 2024, half of all investments in the JAR, amounting to 35 billion rubles, were invested in the transport industry. The 'Doblesst Hinggan' (6+) personnel program is also being implemented to retrain and employ military personnel in government agencies.
The JAR's presentation at the National Center 'Russia' revealed significant progress in social and economic development, with a focus on healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The region's commitment to supporting SVO participants and families demonstrates its dedication to improving lives. With substantial investments in the transport industry and infrastructure projects, the JAR is poised for continued growth.
