"Join In!": City Museum announces family event for "Justice Key 1525"

On September 21, 2025, at 2 pm, the Halle City Museum is hosting a special family event titled "Justice 1525 - Ottilie Münzer or the two important magic of the world." This event is free and intended for families with children aged 8 and above.

The focus of the event is on how Thomas Münzer's wife, Ottilie, experienced the events of the Reformation and the Peasants' War. Anke Triller, the coordinator of the project "Women's Places in Saxony-Anhalt" since late 2019, will lead the event.

The event is a picture journey through these historic times, with the pictures drawn by children from the Grundschule Diemitz/Freiimfelde. Grit Wendelberger, an artist with experience in cultural and artistic projects, has contributed to the artwork created by these children.

After the event, the important stations of the journey will be traced with the dice game "Ottilie and the rainbow flag." This fun and interactive activity promises to make the historical journey even more engaging for the children.

It's worth noting that this event is part of the larger special exhibition "Keep playing!", which features a series of family events in Saxony-Anhalt. In total, there are 52 such places in 37 cities and communities across the region.

So, come join us on this fascinating journey into the past, and let's explore the life of Ottilie Münzer together!
