Kindergarten St. Pius Legend Rita Fromm Retires After 31 Years

Rita Fromm, who dedicated 31 years to Kindergarten St. Pius, retired on September 1st. She led the kindergarten since 1994, transforming it over the decades.

Fromm began her tenure in 1994, taking over from the previous director. She previously worked in Nuremberg and Holzheim. Initially, the kindergarten operated two shift groups, but Fromm introduced a long-term group with extended care hours and midday meals.

In 2001, the kindergarten underwent a general renovation, temporarily moving into the schoolhouse. Despite the disruption, the cooperation with the parish, the kindergarten's carrier, remained smooth throughout Fromm's leadership.

Sabrina Atzler, who has been with the kindergarten since 2017, has taken over from Fromm. Fromm's retirement was marked by a warm send-off, with many former colleagues visiting and Domkapitular Norbert Winner inviting her for a personal farewell. She plans to spend her retirement with family and grandchildren.
