Law enforcement probing matter at hand
The evangelical Lutheran kindergarten 'Rainbow' in Schneverdingen is currently under investigation following allegations of endangering children's welfare. The Protestant Kindergarten Association Rotenburg-Verden, which runs the Kita Am Jordan in Schneverdingen, has taken action by filing a police report and involving the youth welfare office.
Indications of inappropriate behavior at the Rainbow kindergarten came to light during an inspection by the new pedagogical management of the Kita-Verein Rotenburg-Verden. However, no new information about the nature of these breaking news has been provided.
The kindergarten association, in response, has promptly drawn consequences and has removed the leadership team from duty. The association is aiming to reorganise the personnel equipment of the kindergarten by the end of the summer closing time, but no details about this reorganisation have been provided.
Parents of the 90 children were informed about the situation two weeks ago in a letter. A parents' evening will be held next Thursday to discuss the further course of action.
Mayor Meike Moog-Steffens and Blömer have expressed concern about the ongoing investigation. The mayor, in particular, has expressed a concern about the shortage of childcare workers.
It is important to note that the association has excluded that the allegations involve sexualized violence.
