Montessori School in Greifswald Gets €35,664 Boost for Bouldering Wall

The Montessori School in Greifswald is set to receive a boost for community engagement and youth development. The Minister for Interior and Construction, Christian Pegel, will present a grant of approximately €35,664 from the Citizens' Fund to Anja Bernhardt, Managing Director of Action Sonnenschein Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This grant will fund construction measures to create a bouldering wall within a new 'Creative House' on the school's campus.

The bouldering wall, a key feature of the 'Creative House', will be open to students, the public, and especially children and young people in the surrounding area. This will foster community cohesion and provide an attractive space for movement and socialising.

The wall is designed to encourage young people to tackle challenges and develop physical strength and endurance. These skills will not only benefit them in their youth but also in later life, instilling a sense of resilience and determination.

The bouldering wall, funded by the Citizens' Fund, is expected to become a hub for the community. It will offer children and young people a chance to grow physically and socially, while also strengthening bonds between the school and the wider region. The 'Creative House' is set to become a vibrant space for movement, meetings, and mutual support.
