In the picturesque town of Bad Orb, nestled within the Main-Kinzig district of Germany, a new educational institution is making waves. The Alea School, a unique private school that blends the German curriculum with the renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) program, has recently opened its doors.

This innovative school offers a bilingual education from as early as five years old, fostering a cosmopolitan environment and preparing students to be global citizens. The school's strategic location in the Spessart region allows for a curriculum that emphasizes learning in harmony with nature, incorporating outdoor activities and leveraging the nearby flora and fauna for educational purposes.

The Alea School is the brainchild of Henning Strauss, who envisioned an educational institution that would provide a more individualized and attentive learning environment compared to larger schools. The school's headmistress, Pauline Ponti, leads the international teaching team, many of whom are bilingual, in their mission to create a learning environment that encourages curiosity and a thirst for knowledge.

The school, situated on Lindenallee and surrounded by greenery, is a wooden building structure equipped with modern technology. Replacing traditional items like chalkboards with large screens, the school is designed to cater to the digital age while maintaining a connection with nature.

Currently, the Alea School accommodates students up to grade 6, but expansion plans are underway. The school is expected to grow, accommodating around 200 students after expansion. The expansion, scheduled for the 2028/2029 school year, will allow the school to offer education up to the Abitur or International Baccalaureate.

Henning Strauss considers the Alea School to be his heart's project, and the school's growth is a testament to his vision. While the school does not claim to be superior to public schools, it aims to complement their offerings, providing students with a diverse educational background that prepares them for both German and international higher education pathways.

The Alea School is not directly involved in supporting school projects in Fulda with the Antonius Netzwerk Mensch, but Henning Strauss has supported such projects in the past. As the school continues to grow and evolve, it remains committed to its core values of fostering global and responsible citizens, creating a unique educational experience in the region.
