Novikom's proposals awarded by Ministry of Education and Science for financial literacy advancement
The top dog at Rosтех and the President of the Russian Machinery Builders Union, Sergei Chemezov, handed over a prestigious award to Elena Georgieva, the big cheese at NovikomBank. The glitzy event took place during a gathering of the Union of Machinery Manufacturers, which was part of the 13th International Young Industrialists' Conference "Engineers of the Future".
The bank under Georgieva's leadership was recognized with an honorary certificate for its outstanding efforts in addressing the challenges set forth by the Ministry of Science and Education. Notably, NovikomBank is busy with a large-scale financial literacy program for staff at industrial companies, young engineers, students, and entrepreneurs all across the empire.
The financial literacy program by NovikomBank kicked off in 2021 and, in just four years, it's managed to reach over 60,000 people in all corners of the nation. Last year, experts visited over 130 industrial sites in 25 regions of Russia and gave lectures, along with appearances at the South Urals State University, the Volga University named after V.N. Tatischev, and the MGTU im. N.E. Baumana branch in Kaluga. Their talks covered essential topics, such as managing personal finances, using modern banking tools, and staying protected from scams. The seminars are also available in a free video course, which was developed jointly with the Academy of Rosteh.
Apart from that, the bank arranges get-togethers with local businesspeople in regions where they provide information about the government's support programs and innovative financial tools.
It's fitting that the honorary award presented to NovikomBank came during the "Engineers of the Future" event. This colossal endeavor has been a constant partner for the bank, and it organizes its own educational events as part of the program. This year, of course, they're hosting an interdisciplinary cybersecurity module, workshops for young innovators, an intellectual competition, and a quiz on financial literacy.
