Optimal Workplace Evolution for Tomorrow

The small town of Dierdorf in the Neuwied District recently played host to the 13th Career and Study Information Day (BEST), a popular event aimed at guiding school students, parents, and educators about vocational training, apprenticeships, university studies, and career opportunities.

Organized by a collaborative effort from Nelson-Mandela School, Martin-Butzer-Gymnasium, and Gustav-W.-Heinemann Special Needs School Raubach, the event attracted around 70 exhibitors. These included social and health institutions, administration, police, military, banks and insurance companies, vocational schools, universities, and educational professionals.

The day was filled with interactive activities designed to engage attendees. Participants had the opportunity to soldering circuit boards, hammer hearts out of slate, engage in 3D printing, program vehicles, and even participate in a large-format Jenga game.

Thomas Herschbach, the press spokesman for the Kreisverwaltung Neuwied, was instrumental in promoting the event. He is based in the Press and Public Relations department and can be contacted at Wilhelm-Leuschner-Str. 9, 56564 Neuwied, or via email at [email protected], or by phone at 02631/803-224.

The event featured 30 lectures, each 20-30 minutes long, held in the rooms of Nelson-Mandela School. The heads of the three schools, Benjamin Bajraktari, Jürgen Blecker, and Robert Britscho, presented the entire portfolio of the planning team to District Administrator Achim Hallerbach.

A comprehensive information brochure was provided, containing all providers, their contact details, and detailed information about the training and study offers. However, due to the lack of specific information available online, it is not possible to provide exact details about the date, participating exhibitors, or measured outcomes on students and schools at this time.

In a unique twist, Class 8b from one of the schools forewent their school trip and kept the fair running with hundreds of small services. The homepage for the Kreisverwaltung Neuwied can be found at www.kreis-neuwied.de for more information.

The BEST event in Neuwied District serves as a prime example of the valuable role such career and study information fairs play in guiding young people towards making informed decisions about their future careers and studies.
