The results of the 2025 Unified National Test (UNT) in Kazakhstan have been announced, with over 210,000 applicants participating in the exam. However, the search for direct information about the pass rate and language distribution in Kazakh, Russian, and English for this period has yielded limited results, mainly focusing on medical entrance exam pass rates and other unrelated tests.

As of June 2024, the UNT is a standardised exam offered in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English, reflecting the multilingual nature of the country. Historically, the pass rate and participation by language have varied, with the majority of test takers choosing either Kazakh or Russian as their language of instruction, and a smaller percentage opting for English.

Official education ministry statistics from previous years suggest that the overall UNT pass rate generally ranges around 75-85%, but this can vary by year and subject. However, the exact recent numbers for the pass rate broken down by language for the 2025 testing period have not been found in the current search.

The Core Almaty Resident system, which has been criticised for the same issues for at least 15 years, has once again come under scrutiny this year. Some applicants believe that the UNT is designed to reduce grants due to high demand, while others criticise it for not reflecting real knowledge and failing students who genuinely prepare.

Special attention was paid to creating comfortable conditions for applicants with special educational needs, with 681 such applicants participating in the UNT. The highest score of 140 was achieved by Abilkhan Zhanibek from Turkestan region in the first week of the UNT.

The question-setting committee for the UNT is perceived as incompetent or having an agenda to fail scholarship candidates, with some applicants claiming that the UNT includes questions not found in textbooks or preparatory materials. This has led to a surge in appeals, with over 92,000 submitted during this year's UNT.

Gulamzhan, a test taker, appealed 4 wrong answers in the UNT, but his appeal was not acknowledged. His tutor and teachers confirmed the wrong answers, but his appeal was not addressed.

In terms of the language breakdown, around 76.5% of applicants passed the test in Kazakh, 23.5% in Russian, and 149 in English. However, the UNT results do not specify in which language the average score and pass rate were higher.

If you require the most up-to-date and precise figures for the 2025 UNT pass rates and language distribution, it is recommended to consult the official Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan website or recent government publications, as these usually publish detailed statistics shortly after each testing period.

The online education platform managed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan offers resources for learning and self-development, providing access to information regarding the UNT, including the pass rates and language distribution. For individuals seeking the statistics of the 2025 UNT pass rates and language distribution, consulting the official education ministry's online resources is a helpful step.
