Park University Designates Michael Beach as Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs
Michael Beach, a seasoned financial and operational professional with over three decades of experience across various industries, has been appointed as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Park University, effective July 18, 2022.
Prior to his tenure at Park University, Michael Beach served as assistant vice president for finance and treasurer at Southern Utah University for nearly seven years, from March 2011 to January 2018. During his time there, he ensured the university had sufficient financial resources, managing cash and borrowing agreements.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. (Northland), Michael Beach has a strong educational background in finance and accounting. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree, a Master of Accountancy degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from different universities.
Michael Beach is a certified public accountant and certified government financial manager. Before embarking on his career in higher education, he spent 17 years in public accounting/business advising and five years in manufacturing.
In his new role at Park University, Michael Beach will be responsible for strategic delivery, fiscal policies and regulations, and overseeing various departments. He will manage the Office of Facilities, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, financial, accounting, and administrative operations.
Before joining Park University, Michael Beach served as vice president of finance, chief financial officer, and treasurer at Kansas City Kansas Community College since January 2018. In this position, he was responsible for all fiscal services, including financial systems, reporting, and controls.
