Pop-Up Job Fair "Industry in the City Center" Coming to Wiesbaden

The city of Wiesbaden is set to host a pop-up job fair, "Industry in the City Center," from September 22 to 28, 2020, at the LuisenForum (2nd floor). This event aims to make Wiesbaden industry visible as an important location factor and facilitate low-threshold contact between companies and potential employees.

The fair will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, and no registration is required. A variety of companies, including 14 Wiesbaden-based industrial companies, the Federal Employment Agency, and the IHK Wiesbaden, will participate. The job fair's website provides brief profiles of the exhibitors, and the exhibiting companies change daily, with their presence times available on www.wi-work-life.de.

School classes will primarily visit the fair during weekdays, while the event is open to all on the weekends. On Saturday, September 27, an airbrush and graffiti workshop will be held for young people aged 12 and over, led by graffiti artist Helge "Bomber" Steinmann. The workshop takes place from 12 pm to 6 pm.

Parents can attend the job fair on Saturday, September 27, to learn about job opportunities and training places. The Mayor and Economic Affairs Commissioner Christiane Hinninger expressed hope for a lot of visitors on the weekend of September 27/28.

The job fair is focused on skilled workers, job seekers, students, career changers, and those interested in switching jobs. It targets both female and male students and offers walk-in consultations without an appointment.

While the specific companies participating in the fair are not explicitly listed, innovative companies in related logistics and technology fields, such as Blickfeld (developing LiDAR technology), circular logistics - BikeBox (circular bike packaging solution), ZeKju, and MANSIO (heavy-duty transportation), could potentially be participants in such events.

With around 300 conversations with young people about training opportunities and career paths expected during the mornings, the job fair promises to be an excellent opportunity for those seeking jobs or career guidance. Don't miss out on this chance to explore Wiesbaden's industry and connect with potential employers.
