In the world of contemporary music, two rising stars are making a name for themselves - Kian Ravaei and Robby Good, both Iranian American composers who are making waves in the industry.
Born in 1999, Kian Ravaei is recognised as an emerging unique voice in contemporary music. With a background in classical and electronic music composition, Ravaei has composed and premiered works such as iPod Variations (2025) for flute, violin, and electronics, commissioned by Chamber Music Northwest (CMNW).
Ravaei is not only active in commissioning and premiering new works, but also engaged in composition teaching. He has been involved in initiatives like the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's Composer Teaching Artist Fellowship, which supports students from historically underserved backgrounds.
