Tech giant Microsoft set to support the burgeoning startup culture in Assam, India.
Microsoft 365, a global tech giant, has taken a significant step towards supporting the startup ecosystem in Assam. The company has submitted a proposal to the Assam government, aiming to collaborate and facilitate advanced technological systems, cloud computing, and AI.
The proposal, if accepted, will benefit the startup incubates at 'the Nest', the state-owned marquee incubation centre at Ambari, by providing them with national and international exposure. The Microsoft 365 team, led by Anant Maheshwari, recently visited 'the Nest' and was impressed by the infrastructure there.
In support of Microsoft 365's endeavours, K K Dwivedi, the Commissioner and Secretary of the Assam industry department, has expressed his approval. The collaboration aims to include all stakeholders in the upcoming Startup Summit, scheduled for April in Guwahati.
As part of their efforts, Microsoft 365 plans to conduct reach-out programs to encourage the entrepreneur community in Assam. Dwivedi believes these programs will significantly contribute to employment and entrepreneurship in the state.
The Assam government, in collaboration with Microsoft 365, is set to organize a Startup Summit in Guwahati. The event is expected to bolster the startup ecosystem in Assam, providing a platform for startups to showcase their ideas and connect with potential investors and mentors.
Dwivedi is optimistic about the potential impact of this collaboration, stating that it could lead to a significant boost in employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Assam. The exact details of the collaboration and the benefits for startup incubates are yet to be announced. However, with Microsoft 365's global program designed to support startups, there is much anticipation about the positive changes this collaboration could bring to Assam's startup ecosystem.
