The Qazaqstan IGF 2025, a unique annual national forum, is set to present the results of the "2025 Digital Rights Compliance Ranking" and delve into various topics related to digital transformation, cybersecurity, and sustainable development.

Organised by the Eurasian Digital Foundation and the Center for Digital Rights Kazakhstan, this year's event aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals #9, #16, and #17, aiming to promote digital inclusion, innovation, industry, and infrastructure, as well as cybersecurity and resilient infrastructure goals.

The Qazaqstan IGF 2025 has garnered support from numerous organisations involved in digital transformation, cybersecurity, financial technology, and innovation. These include international technology providers, financial institutions engaged in digitisation and AI, and local entities such as the Committee for Information Security of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maqsut Narikbayev University, and the Association "BlockchainKZ".

One of the highlights of the event is the "AI for Lawyers" course, prepared by the Cyberlaw School, which will be presented during the forum. Another key session is "Preparing Digital Professions for the Digital Economy", focusing on specialist preparation and digital educational program development.

However, it appears that discussions on the Digital Code project with its authors, multilateral internet governance, responsible use of AI, regulation of digital assets in Kazakhstan, CyberSafe for Women, the "2025 Digital Rights Compliance Ranking", and cybersecurity in Kazakhstan will not be featured in this year's Qazaqstan IGF.

Despite this, the forum will cover cybersecurity in Kazakhstan, and a session on CyberSafe for Women has been confirmed to be included in the programme. The current development of artificial intelligence technologies is also expected to be a focus, with a focus on the regulation of the digital environment and the internet.

More information about the Qazaqstan IGF can be found on its website. The event has official support from the United Nations General Secretariat, being part of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) network, which is represented in 106 countries across four continents, organised under the auspices of the United Nations General Secretariat.

The Qazaqstan IGF 2025 involves over 200 representatives from government bodies, the private sector, civil society, and academia, making it a significant event in the digital landscape of Kazakhstan.
