Young job seekers in Memmingen and the surrounding area have a chance to find suitable training positions at the upcoming re-matching morning, organised by the Federal Employment Agency, IHK, and HWK. The event is open to all, regardless of school type, training dropouts, or those who have left school a long time ago and have not yet completed an apprenticeship.

The re-matching action, taking place on Wednesday, 24th September, at the Federal Employment Agency in Memmingen (Wielandtstraße 1-3), aims to help young job seekers find their perfect match. With 660 training positions currently available in Memmingen and Unterallgäu that could not be filled by companies by 1st September, there are plenty of opportunities up for grabs.

The Director of the Federal Employment Agency has acknowledged that young people often feel overwhelmed when searching for an apprenticeship. This re-matching event offers a supportive environment where young people can receive personal advice to help them navigate the job market.

Several reasons often contribute to young people not finding an apprenticeship. Insufficient career orientation, skill mismatch, language problems, and personal problems are common obstacles. However, the Federal Employment Agency believes there are 'very good chances' that these young people will still be able to start an apprenticeship this fall.

To further support these young job seekers, various offers are available. This includes free tutoring for vocational school subjects, a paid long-term internship, and the opportunity to experience some training professions in 3D using VR glasses.

Parents are also invited to attend the re-matching morning, making it a family affair. Contact will be established with companies offering free training positions during the event. No registration is required, and the event starts at 10 am.

For young migrants or refugees in Memmingen and Unterallgäu without training positions, specific data is not publicly available. However, local youth employment or integration offices typically hold this information and could identify those who might benefit from the career counseling event on September 24, 2022.

The career guidance of the Federal Employment Agency, IHK Schwaben, and HWK Schwaben are working together to make this re-matching morning a success. By coming together, they hope to provide a comprehensive support system for young job seekers in their search for an apprenticeship.

For those still looking for an immediate dual study place, they are also welcome to attend. The re-matching morning offers a unique opportunity for young people to take a step closer to their future careers.
